Discipline: setting limits and goals.
Lately my tablet has been acting up. I’m not sure if it’s the most recent update or too much stuff or too far away from the wifi connection, but it’s slowing down and locking up more often.
So then I am frustrated and spend long periods of time looking up a fix (haven’t found one yet!) It has the potential to be a real time suck!
Which brings me to today’s topic, periodically I set goals for activities, read more, practice French, sew more, exercise more, work on photo albums etc. Most of the time they are short lived, especially around key times, New year, first of the month, seasonally, birthdays etc..
Once again, I am evaluating my options, examining my free time activities and am discouraged that I am not feeling productive at times. During the week it is hard to be motivated in the evening. The weekends go by quickly and there is always more to do than time permits. Now that summer is winding down, I’m trying to finish a few major garden projects. I have transferred the day lilies and am starting on the Irises now.
Question: should I try setting a weekly schedule for tasks? Will this help my progress and motivation?
Monday night: craft, sewing, photos, other
Tuesday night: financials bills, filing, tracking, planning
Wednesday night: intellectual, read, research, other
Thursday night: errands, library, groceries, household
